Hamburg: Park-Projekt für St.-Pauli Süd geht auf Reisen

Park Fiction has been invited to cittadellarte - fondazione pistoletto.

The exhibition, presenting projects concerned with socially responsible
transformation, starts on june 1st through july, august and september.

Connected with this exhibition will be a three-day fair of art and
production (exact date - see webside). At this opportunity, Margit Czenki's
film "Park Fiction - the wishes are going to leave the house and take to the
streets" will be shown in Italy for the first time, with italian
translation.

The cittadellarte is an experimental art-institution founded by artist
Michelangelo Pistoletto. It houses a small and very special arte povera
collection, but understands itself as a place of reflection and production,
crossing the boundaries between different cultural spheres.

As these principels are core-qualities of the Park Fiction project, we are
especially happy about this invitation. Park Fiction will present - along
with materials from the wish production and the public planning process - a
completely new work: a giant history-of-Park-Fiction-leporello covering the
the story from the very beginnings of the project in 1994 to the current
attacks against the art project and the whole community by a private
investor in 2001.

We also hope to support with our participation the tendencies towards a
socially interventionist art, currently developing in italy. Necessity for
activist art and international networking is more urgent, especially after
the recent victory of Berlusconis right wing alliance.
