We have organised a qwiirlig - week (15th - 22nd of June) for you in Basel, with Pink Block at the Three - Countries - Demonstration, Lesbian - Gay Gâteau-eating, Belladonna - concert, Gender - Photo - Exhibition, films, discussions, lecture and a make - your - own - dildo - workshop, on the occassion of the opening of the queer - café. You are all invited! Come in throngs!

Saturday 15th of June 2002: Pink Block at the Three - Countries - Demonstration

We call to build a Pink Block at the Three - Countries - Demonstration against racism and exclusion on the 15th of June in Basel / Switzerland. Participate in a wild, coloured, queer, noisy and resolute way! Use your fantasy! Come numerous!

10 a.m.: gathering Claraplatz (Claraplace) Basel / Switzerland >

12.30 a.m.: border crossing Kleinhüningen / Weil am Rhein - Friedlingen > joining together with the demonstration from Huningue / France > rally at the Rheinpark >

12.45 a.m.: demonstration through Weil am Rhein / Germany > rally at the office of the federal frontier guard (BGS / paramilitary german police) > border crossing Weil - Otterbach >

end - rally at the deportation - prison Baesslergut / Basel / Switzerland

Sunday 16th of June 2002: Lesbian - Gay Gâteau - eating, opening of the Gender - Photo - Exhibition & Belladonna - concert

On sunday, the 16th of June, there is the Lesbian - Gay Gâteau - eating at elsaesserstreet 11 in Basel. Having a good time in the salon du thé and, if the weather is fine, in the sunyard of e11.

2 p.m.: opening of the Gender - Photo - Exhibition with the exhibitors from Hamburg / Germany at the cinema - bar e11

Genderfuck - Transitbereiche im Geschlechterslalom (Genderfuck - Transitarea in the Slalom of Sexes): arrangement of photos made by a three - person - group from Bielefeld and Hamburg (both Germany), working photographically on the subject gender - transgender. "Break images with pictures, disturb habits of seeing and confuse norms of society."

3 p.m.: Lesbian - Gay Gâteau-eating at the salon du thé and, if the weather is fine, in the sunyard of e11

Benefit for Demet Demir and the trail in Turkey. Terry and Tommy from Bern / Switzerland will make café & tea - music.

7 p.m.: vegan Dinner in the hall of e11

9 p.m.: concert by Belladonna 9ch (two lesbians from Marseille / France) in the cellar of e11

Belladonna 9ch: electro-chansons and performance with guitar, saxophone and more.

7 p.m.: discussion: gender - transgender > filmlet: "Z wie Zwitterror" at the cinema - bar elsaesserstreet 11

Tuesday 18th of June 2002:

5 - 7 p.m.: Gender - Exhibition at the cinema - bar elsaesserstreet 11

7 p.m.: bar at the Infoshop Sowieso, Lindenberg 23

9 p.m.: Infoshop cinema Sowieso presents:"Lola and Billidikid" > "Lola and Billidikid" is dealing with the conflict between turkish tradition and gay scene in Berlin.

Wednesday 19th of June 2002:

5 - 7 p.m.: Gender - Exhibition at the cinema - bar elsaesserstreet 11

7 p.m.: tasty vegan dinner in the hall of elsaesserstreet 11

8.30 p.m.: film "Outlaw" & filmlet at the cinema elsaesserstreet 11 > "Outlaw": film of & on Leslie Feinberg, transidentity-activist and author of "Stone Butch Blues".

Thursday 20th of June 2002:

5 - 7 p.m.: Gender - Exhibition at the cinema - bar elsaesserstreet 11

8 p.m.: lecture by Maja Ruef, gender studies University Basel, at the cinema - bar elsaesserstreet 11 > transgender: change of sexes, overcoming of sexes or revolt against the power of the category "sexuality"?

Friday 21st of June 2002:

7 p.m.: film "Gendernauts" at the cinema elsaesserstreet 11 > "Gendernauts": a journey to the land of the New Sexes. "Gendernauts" explores the phenomenon of solution of sexes in the end of the last century at the bay area of california.

9 p.m.: film "Vor Transsexuellen wird gewarnt" at the cinema elsaesserstreet 11 > "Vor Transsexuellen wird gewarnt" ("Of transsexuals is warned"): In the 90ies Rosa von Praunheim made this documentary on transsexuals or rather the transgender - movement in the usa.

Saturday 22nd of June 2002: opening of the queer - café at the Infoshop Sowieso

queer - café: the temporary autonomous zone for action and argument on subjects as queer, gender, solution of sexes and more, each time at the Infoshop Sowieso, Lindenberg 23, Basel, Switzerland.

12 a.m.: brunch

1 p.m.: workshop: dildos not bombs!

4 p.m.: open palaver: queer - chances and side effects

P.S. On Friday, the 14th of June, at 10 p.m. there also is a Drag King Party with special barber`s shop and the DJ`N Alex & nic13 at the women - disco at Hirscheneck.

On Saturday, the 15th of June, there are Winterbrief having a gig (9.30 p.m.) at Hirscheneck. Winterbrief are from the usa and playing electro - punk - digital - hardcore.

The women - disco and the Winterbrief - concert take both place at the Hirscheneck, Lindenberg 23, Basel, Switzerland.

On Friday, the 21st of June, there also is a concert at the cellar of elsaesserstreet 11. At about 9 p.m. there are dislekd from netherland playing. They make crusty hardcore. Perhaps with support.
