How do we counteract global-corporate-domination? By supporting local businesses! The World Trade Organization (WTO) meets in Cancun, Mexico this month, and earth-liberators from all over will be joining in the protests- at the scene of the crime, and in their hometowns. In Flagstaff, FAN has decided to lend support to this effort in a festive and fun way. From 11-5, Sat., Sept. 13th, FAN is hosting the Flagstaff Community Fair in Heritage Square. Many local businesses and craftspeople will have booths, including food and beverage vendors. There will be live DJ's playing contemporary world music, educational videos, children's activities including a free inflatable moonwalk, a community art project, free food samples from local restaurants, and a raffle of local goods. Please come out to this event to have fun while supporting the millions around the world who are battling the corporate monsters by buying local instead!
