October 23: Movie night. Turbulence and New World Border.
Turbulence highlights the unprecedented power of the financial markets and the threat they pose to democracy. New World Border focuses on 'security' at the US/Mexican border since NAFTA, abuse of free movement at its peak.

October 21st to 25th: A photo exhibition with pictures of resistance from Chiapas and around Latin America
Location: Mezzanine of Hall building

October 25th: Movie Night. Life and Debt
Jamaica — land of sea, sand and sun. And a prime example of the complexities of economic globalization on the world's developing countries. Using conventional and non-conventional documentary techniques, this searing film dissects the "mechanism of debt" that is destroying local agriculture and industry in Third World countries while substituting sweat-shops and cheap imports

October 26th: Judy Rebick Canadian feminist activist will talk about the effects of the first free trade agreement (FTA) with the US on women. Paula Klachko, an Argentinean sociologist and Piquetera (organized unemployed) activist will talk about the effects of neo-liberal globalization on Argentineans.

October 29th: Panel Discussion with Montreal activist Jaggi Singh and Eleuterio Mayo Vargas the Secretary General of Comité Central de la Federación Estudiantil Campesina Socialista in the Mexican state of Guerero. Singh will discuss capitalist imperialism and the FTAA. Vargas will discuss the effects of neo-liberal globalization on the people of Guerero.

October 30th CBC and the Montreal Matters series presents a discussion on whether “accessible quality public education is at risk.” Take part in the discussion with the CSU and Concordia administration.

October 30th: Genoa
This video puts you in the street and meeting halls of the people that organized the massive demonstrations against the G8 in Genoa Italy last year.

October 31st: Strike and massive demonstration starting in front of the Hall building at 3pm.
