A16 Hungary

Dear Comrades,

a few words about Hungary, then, finally :)
I'm putting most of my energy these days into the Activist Network - a sort of coordination network between activists of all kinds (and I mean activists, not NGOists). And we are getting quite diverse - anarchists, pacifists, anarchopacifists, humanists, leftists, greens, feminists even.

It seemed like the thing we agree on the most is that globalization = bad.
So we are organising a solidarity demo on Monday, 17th of april in front of the World Bank in Budapest.

What's even more interesting - ICC is coming to visit us! Go and see for yourself on http://www.iccwbo.org - the International Chamber of Commerce is coming to Budapest from May 3-5. The hungarian, polish, czech and slovakian prime ministers (or deputy prime ministers) will be there. The presidents of these national banks will be there. Mike Moore, Director General of WTO will be there. High-level officials of Shell, Nestle, Goldman-Sachs, Oracle, etc, will be there. They will discuss "Post-Seattle trade agenda", the environment (where one of the speakers is Shell), and other wonderful topics - you can see at the website.

So we're making an action against it. It will probably be a smaller one, a few hundered people at most, it could happen that we won't even get close to the conference centre (because of police), but we will try. If anyone of you wants to come and join us, you're welcome :) Just write before, so we can arrange something.

See you around!
drif.
