Guatemala, Marzo de 2005National Strike in Guatemala. Oposition to CAFTA continues inspite of it's ratification
Lunes 14 de Marzo 2005 http://chiapas.mediosindependientes.org/The Alliance for Life Peace informs that today there is a national strike in Guatemala.
In a comunique they have expressed that " Guatemalan president Oscar berger, has launched paid advertaisements in the media calling for an "invitation to dialogue..."
"The invitation is ironic after a closed doors policy and the imposed ratification of the CAFTA.
In Peten the international airport was taken over, and the popular movement was waiting for the arrival of police and army, but still our president insists: "I Invite you to dialogue..."
