About 3000 students from fourteen departments of the FEUU (Federation of University Students of Uruguay) voted in favor of a general strike for an indeterminate time, calling for (es) a "Strategy on the Crisis". They have rejected decisions made by the goverment, and demand the immediate implementation of a plan for feeding and attending to sanitation for the entire population of Uruguay.
The general strike [ 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | audio: 1 | 2 | 3 ] has since been followed by building occupations (es).
