this is just a summary made from italian people who are working about metallo and other indipendent spaces and matters related with ESF in november; it's not exaustive and totally complete, but it is our first contribute to a possible discussion about events in paris.

[*] MEDIA-CENTER:
there's a place for the mediacenter at "la villette". lots of groups which are involved with metallo, they will be also in "la villette"; people decided that having a space for mediacenter into "maison du metallo" would be quite unuseful because of metallo is quite far from ESF, so they asked for a room/hall @villette and asked to can self.manage it.
it would be a space into which all indipendent media can join.
description of MediaCenter:
STUDIO 3
it's far 50 mt from mainstream mediacenter; the hall has an independent entrance, it will be free-entrance for everybody and totally self-managed; it will be open 'til 2 a.m, it's quite closed to the "restaurant-area" of the ESF.
we will have a 2Mbit/s line and a room with 25 pc (PII400) provided by ESF; a room dedicated to TV (plateau Tele); 2 small and isolated room for radio production; a big cabled room (foyer radio and tv with possibility to go out for interviews and stuff like this); a small studio for live-radio and a room we can use like a store-house.

programme is still open but rooms and schedules are almost full. if you are interested to partecipate with workshops or atelier please send your proposal quickly. everyone can partecipate to workshops, and also there will be free-spaces for screenings and info-shop. la maison du metallo will close more or less at midnight.

"la Villette" e "Bobigny" are quite near one another; underground and RER (a train line i suppose) connects the two places (20 minutes far), and metallo is 20 minutes from each one.
st-denis is 30/40 minutes far from villette and bobigny and metallo. there will be bus going to and back different places.
