Demonstration at Cargill

May 25th 1999, Amsterdam

A group of about 50 farmers (men and women) from India and Bangladesh walked together with a small group of Dutch people and organisers of the ICC to the factory and headquarter of Cargill, a food giant which deals with genetically manipulated food. They had a lot of banners with text as:" No gen-tech food" and "United against Cargill". They shouted "Cargill, down, down !".

Professor Nanjundaswamy (KRRS) said to a spokeman of Cargill who asked for a petition: "We don't have a petition. We don't believe in a petition, we believe in direct action".
