Nazi-Price for the US-President?

On June second US-President Clinton will accept the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen/Germany. This price has been awarded to people, who helped Germany to restart economical, political and military force after world war II and - at moment - who extended Germany's influence in Eastern Europe and Balkan states. This price was founded in 1949 and initiated by Kurt Pfeiffer, who mutated in a strange way from a NSDAP-member to a "democrat". As mentioned in the Padover report he reviewed '33 to '45 as economically succesful time. So finally the source of the prize money seems dubious. Peiffers idea for initiating the charlemange- price was: »I want the reerection of the germans, their consiousnes on immortal values and the inventive power of this nation.« This price is the attempt, to clean the german history and to make the best of the failed geostrategic Europe concepts of the Nazis. In that sense e.g. the price is named Charlemagne prize, where Charlemange was a cult -figur in Nazi-Germany, who founded the feudal dominion and »unified« Europe with violence and multiple genocide. The first price winner was programm: The awarded Earl Coudenhove Callergi founded the Paneurope-movement, which aspires to a Europe viewing the fascist paragon of benito mussolini. The movement calls him prophet. He planed the whole world in 5 »Grossraeume«, where especially the »European Grossraum« has to be orderd. Facing the award of this year, the mayor of Aachen J. Linden and the Charlemagne price-director W. Everwheim emphasized the ideals of the Pan-Europe movement. But this Pan-Europe movement is a binding element between antidemocrats, clerical conservervatives, extreme right parties and maffia-monarchistic families. This movement is actually controlled by Otto von Habsburg and his relatives.

Today, ten years after german (re-)union and one year after the war splitting up Yugoslawia the ideals of the first laureate are high in rate. Since '89 politicians were awarded with the charlemagne price, who helped to enforce the german dominace in a larger Europe. Will the US-President be awarded, because he tolerated and helped magnifying the the german dominance in Eastern Europe, especially in the case of the Balkan conflict even against US- national interests?

There is no need to metion, that the charlemagne price directorium is repeating from 1949 until today, that good ideas are not coming from democratic traditions, but from singular marcant persons.
