The regional association of the so-called "Nationaldemokratische
Partei Deutschlands" (NPD) in Schleswig-Holstein annouced a demonstration
in Flensburg on saturday, october 13th 2001, starting 11 a.m. on EXE-square.
Leading members and functionaries of this association are known to be confessing
national-socialists and extremly violent against immigrants and political
opponents, what makes them clinch even with the rest of their own party.
PARTICIPATE IN PREPARATIONS OF STRONG PROTESTS AGAINST THE NPD-NAZI-DEMONSTRATION IN FLENSBURG, OCTOBER 13TH Memories are still fresh: on 23th of october 1999, 75 neonazis marched on a shortened route through the Flensburg neighbourhood "Friesischer Berg", interferenced by the heavy protests of some hundred disagreeing demonstrants. Among these neo-nazis, who mainly came from other cities to demonstrate against the left-alternative house-projekt "Hafermarkt" in Flensburg, were some NPD-members too (photo above). But they were only "decorative attachments" on this demonstration organised by BÜNDIS RECHTS FÜR LÜBECK (Rightwing election-league for city of Luebeck). The most outstanding "previous conviction - index" - mainly because of violent assault and battery -, owns PETER BORCHERT from Kiel (photo on the righthand). Factual he is still the chairman of the parties executive commitee in Schleswig Holstein (Landesvorstand) though he had been rejected from the parties federal chairmanship (Bundespräsidium) for participating in a 1st of mai-demonstration, arranged by the FREE NATIONALISTS. The last three weeks he has been charged for two similar offenses too. The purpose on 13th October 2001 in Flensburg will be to fill the streets with as many different and colorful forms of resistance against the nazi-demonstration as possible. Our actions should show, that more and more people living in Flensburg will not allow fascists to take over the streets and will not accept racist propaganda. History shows and has shown that our resistance is not a matter of academic questions like "legal" and "illegal" or peaceful protest or such using force to fight fascism. It«s much more a matter of acting in a way of personal and political responsebility. The more people take a stand against the Neonazis the less scope for them, and the less pressure lasts on the police to make their demonstration possible by any means necessary.
