A reunião do Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento, no inicio de março do ano que vem, em Fortaleza, é a primeira reunião de uma instituição multilateral nesse territorio ocupado pelo Estado brasileiro, desde o início do movimento antiglobalização. Como acontece em todo o mundo, nossa maior "utopia" é tentar impedir, por meio da ação direta e da desobediência civil, que essa reunião aconteça ou, caso não consigamos tal feito, causar o maior disturbio possivel para despertar o debate publico (assim como ações de solidariedade no Brasil e no mundo) acerca desse sistema chamado capitalismo e de suas instituicoes: OMC, FMI, BM, G8, OTAN, Estados e um número cada vez menor de corporações com poder cada vez maior. A cultura, as pessoas, os povos, o planeta, nada escapa a esta maquinaria de acumular dinheiro e de poder. Nosso movimento é novo, ele não tem nome, não tem lider, nao tem manifesto e nao tem sede. Já conseguimos muito. Se vamos escrever nos muros de Fortaleza "Nos estamos vencedo", depende apenas de nos mesmos, apesar da conhecida brutalidade da policia do Tasso, governador do estado do Ceará.

The meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank, in the beginning of March 2002, in Fortaleza is the first meeting of a multilateral institution in the territorry occupied by the Brasil state, since the innicial of the antiglobalization movement. Like it happens in the whole world, our main "utopia" is to try to hinder that this summit happens, by way of direct action and civil disobedience, and if we not succeed by this way, to disturb the meeting as much as possible to awake the public debate (also with solidarity actions in Brasil and in the world) considering this system which is called capitalism and its institutions: WTO, IMF, WB, G8 NATO, States and a number of corporations which is always getting smaller, but their power always augments. The culture, the people, the planet do not escape from this machinery of accumulation of money and power. Our movement is new, it has no name, no leader, no manifesto and no domicile. But we've already achieved a lot. When we will write on the walls of Fortaleza "Nos estamos vencedo" (we are winning), this depends from ourselfs, despite the known brutality of the police of Tasso, gouverneur of the brasil state Ceará.
