Action days against the WEF in Salzburg 2002 (Austria)
15th to 17th September WEF Summit 12th to 19th September Actiondays see as well: Anti-WEF Demo/Manif in Bern Also this year there will be a summit of more than 1000 "global leaders" of politics and economics in Salzburg to talk in a "private atmosphere" how to increase exploitation more efficient and profitable. This years middle and european economic summit of the wef (world economic forum) will again discuss items as the eastern expantion of the E.U. and the regulation of migration. A growing movement of protests of various groups and individuals are forming up against this meeting since 2 years. Around a 1000 people were manifesting against the self-appointed global elites , being "protected" by a superior strengh of some thousands police. This demonstration went into the red zone around the congress center and was surrounded by police for hours. There have been a 113 accusations and the first trials are going on right now. Nevertheless we don't let them intimitating us! We won't get in dialogue with the WEF and are calling for a wide and various participation on the actions of protest. Our Motto is: Do it yourself, come and bring your own ideas; there will be an infopoint, legal support and discussion groups. Our theoretical topics are gender / sexism, borders / migration movements and the conceptions of capitalistic empire. the anti wef coordination is a network of autonomous groups and individuals on an antihierachic, antifascist and antisexistic base, which won't get in dialogue with the WEF +++deutsch+++ Call for action anti wef koordination Aktionstage gegen das WEF in Salzburg 2002 (Österreich) 15-17 September WEF Treffen 12-19 September Aktionstage auch dieses jahr treffen sich wieder über 1000 (vor allem europäische) »global leaders« aus politik und wirtschaft in salzburg, um im »privaten rahmen« darüber zu beraten, wie sie ausbeutung noch effizienter und profitorientierter umsetzen können bei dem diesjährigen "european economic summit" des wef (world economic forum/weltwirtschaftsforum) sollen wieder themen wie die eu-osterweiterung oder migrationsregulierungen diskutiert werden. seit 2 jahren formieren sich nun immer stärker werdende protestbewegungen verschiedener gruppen und individuen gegen dieses treffen. letztes jahr demonstrierten rund 1.000 menschen gegen die von einer übermacht von mehrern tausend polizistInnen beschützten selbsternannten globalen eliten. die demo drang in die sperrzone um das kongresszentrums ein und es kam zu einer mehrstündigen einkesselung. es wurde 113 anzeigen erstattet, die ersten prozesse sind schon am laufen, aber wir lassen uns nicht einschüchtern. Wir werden mit dem wef nicht in dialog treten und rufen für eine breite und vielfältige beteiligung an den protestaktionen auf!!! Unser motto lautet: do it yourself, kommt und überlegt euch was, es wird wieder einen infopoint, rechtshilfe, und diskussionsrunden geben. Unsere theoretischen schwerpunkte legen wir auf gender/sexismus, offene grenzen/migrationsbewegungen und konzeptionen kapitalistischer herrschaft.
