Factory Based Movements
In 200, 5 factory base movements were conducted under the leadership of NGWF. Main causes of these movements were realizing outstanding wages and overtime payments of the workers. These factories are: 1. Stephania Fashion Limited. 2. Akil Design Limited. 3. Deer Fashions Limited. 4. Owarda Fashions Limited. 5. Challenger Garments Limited. As a part of these movements, NGWF organized Sit-In Strike, Demonstrations, Blockade the labour Inspection office, Press conference, Memorandum to the BGMEA etc. to realize the outstanding payments. As a result of this type of continuous movements and for the pressure of BGMEA and Arbitration committee, the owners were bound to realize the workers outstanding payments.
