7 a.m.

People already are on the streets again. The Mc Donalds are still closed and covered with plywood. So the staff has got free today and can join us.

They make it illegal to sell, buy, wear or carry a gas mask.

Journalists, old women and even small children are getting teargased. The police brutality is rising steadily. People are getting arrested for not wearing the right clothes. The total number of arrests levels 300 now. The number of injured people is unknown. We have one (fractured rip).

1:20pm

by Mary Travers: Direct Action Network (DAN) Legal Team arrested
The legal team of the Direct Action Network, a colation of non-violent protesters, was arrested by Seattle Police.
Early this morning, the legal team of the Direct Action Network (DAN) was arrested and all notes confiscated by the Seattle Police, according to Kelly Quirke of the Rainforest Action Network. The arrest was confirmed by a member of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG). Protesters, including the legal team, met at Denny Park, which is outside the mile-and-a-half area that was declared "off limits" for any protest by the Mayor of Seattle. DAN is a coalition of protesters, all of whom subscribe to these four tenets: No violence, physical or verbal; no weapons; no use of alcohol or illegal drugs; no destruction of property. The job of the legal team is to observe interactions between police and protesters, take notes and provide legal aid to those arrested. According to an NLG representative, "Yesterday's tactic was random gassing and beating. Today's is mass arrests."

3 p.m.

The Direct Action Network center got raided by the police.

The DAN convergence center had been the place for food, shelter, meeting, trainings, legal briefings. This midday the police raided it, and confisquated what they could find.

6 p.m.

Most of us have been trapped inside a police circle today. Teargas all over.

At least one member of the Caravan is arrested.

11 p.m.

He's free again. Good. THIS WAS A FALSE INFORMATION! TWO DAYS LATER HE STILL IS IN JAIL. ANOTHER ONE IS MISSING!

All together 400 people got arrested today. After some hours they are allowed to leave again, but many groups refuse to leave their buses...

Curfew, the 2nd. Downtown feels like ghosttown.
